ARIZONA

 

Border Action Network

$66,000-3yrs

Border Action Network is a grassroots membership-based organization in Nogales, Douglas, and Tucson, Arizona working to ensure that rights are protected, human dignity upheld and that our communities are safe and healthy for everyone.  Border Action relies on community organizing, leadership development, policy advocacy and litigation as a means to ensure that the immigrant and border communities have a role in the policy debates that impact our daily lives. Their grant will fund financial management and planning and information management.

 

 

Borderlands Theater:

$75,000- 3yrs

Borderlands Theater is a professional theater company recognized nationally and internationally for the development and production of theater and educational programs that reflect the diversity of the voices of the Southwest border region. Their grant will support a marketing plan and training, a fundraising plan, and succession planning.

 

 

The Florence Immigrant and Refugee Rights Project, Inc.

$75,000- 2yrs

The Florence Immigrant and Refugee Rights Project, Inc. provide holistic, free legal and social services to immigrants, refugees, and U.S. citizens detained by the Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) in Arizona for immigration processing. The Project advocates for a more just and efficient judicial system for individuals in immigration detention, and believes that everyone should understand their rights and options under immigration law and have access to legal counsel.  Their grant will fund conduct an organizational assessment, a strategic plan and provide training for board and staff.

 

It's A Baby's Life ~ Healthy Mothers Healthy Babies

$74,882-3yrs

It’s A Baby’s Life’s mission is to promote healthy lifestyles for minority women of childbearing age; promote the safety of infants and young children; and prevent teen pregnancy.  Their goal is to improve birth outcomes in Maryvale, by increasing awareness and access to health care to Latina women and decreasing teen pregnancy.  Their grant will support a social marketing campaign, financial management and fund development training.

 

La Sociedad Mutualista De Obreros Mexicanos

$15,001-3yrs

Since 1923 La Sociedad Mutualista De Obreros Mexicanos have united to help improve the quality of life of families living in Douglas. Their grant will assist in helping achieve 501c3 status, Board development and training, technology and a marketing plan.

           

 

Pinal Hispanic Council

$55,000-2yrs.

Pinal Hispanic Council provides culturally competent behavioral health services reflective of the needs of a diverse community while continually advocating for those they serve.  Their grant will fund technology, fiscal management and a fund development plan.

 

Pirtleville Community Action Network

$16,786-2yrs

Pirtleville Community Action Network (PCAN) works to provide a cleaner, safer, and healthier environment for all Pirtleville residents.  Their grant will be used new technology and training, staff support, and board and staff training on nonprofit management and fundraising.

 

Regional Center for Border Health, Inc.

$75,000-3yrs

Regional Center for Border Health, Inc. works to improve the availability and accessibility of medical services in Western Arizona and the Arizona-Mexico Border Region, by establishing a comprehensive center for primary care, community outreach and health education.  Their grant will support training and data gathering and networking capacity.

 

The Way of the Heart: The Promotora Institute (WHIP)

$75,000-3yrs

The mission of The Way of the Heart: The Promotora Institute (WHPI) is to improve the health status and quality of life of residents in the U.S./Mexico border region through health and life education, training, referral, and advocacy.  Their grant will be used for an organizational assessment, Board development and succession planning.

 

Xico, Inc.

$75,000-2yrs.

Xicanindio is committed to the development and promotion of Chicano/Latino and Indian artists, encourages self empowerment of our youth and communities, and presents and produces programs reflecting the rich cultural heritage of indigenous people to all audiences.  Their grant will fund technology upgrades, and organizational assessment, financial management, a strategic plan and board development and training.
