A mini grant enabled them to strengthen the governance of the organization by hiring a board development consultant to facilitate a board retreat/training and continue board development. The two-year capacity building grant will help to build the organization’s management capacity by supporting a part-time a Project Coordinator position to work with the Board of Directors to implement the strategic plan and to develop its internal systems, operations structure and materials to move the organization from a volunteer organization to a staffed nonprofit organization and ensure its sustainability.
